White Glove Delivery
Freedom Medical Solutions provides a "White Glove
Delivery" option to customers which require additional product placement and
handling. We recognize that the size and weight of some of our products is not
conducive to having a consumer accept curbside delivery and carry these products
inside their homes. Some consumers may also need help with product assembly.
"White Glove Delivery" (WGD) is a service whereby you can purchase in-home setup
and delivery of Freedom Medical Solutions Products.
Any product (where appropriate)
purchased in one of our retail locations automatically comes with White Glove
Delivery included, (except for installed products,
see below). Any product (where
appropriate) purchased in one of our retail locations may also qualify for
insurance coverage or insurance reimbursement. No internet purchased products
are qualified for insurance filing (A Medicare
requirement).
While WGD provides a great value at a reasonable
cost, it is important to understand what "in-home setup and delivery" includes
and what it does not include. The following was developed to help our customers
understand this process more completely:
White Glove Delivery
Service INCLUDES:

Inside delivery of any product purchased with
the WGD option added.

The product will be set-up in the room of
choice as long as this room is no more than one floor up or one floor down
from the main entrance. (If the delivery requires more than one floor, up
or down, then additional charges may apply).

Complete set-up of product.

Product will be visually inspected for
damages or defects.

Product will be tested (where appropriate) to
make sure it is in proper working condition.

Questions pertaining to the operation of the
product will be directed to the manufacturer.

The consumer will be advised to read the
owner's manual for a better understanding of the product.

All packing material and boxes (related to
the purchase) will be removed from the consumer's house.
White Glove Delivery DOES NOT
include:
- The dismantling of product to fit through
hallways or stairs. Most Freedom Medical
Solutions products will fit through most homes with no problems. Since some
of our products do not come fully assembled, they are easily carried inside
in separate pieces. On occasion, we get a customer request asking for
delivery where the product will not fit, especially beds and lifts. It is
not the responsibility of the delivering agent to take the product apart any
further, just so it will fit. Dimensions on all our products are provided
and it is the consumer's responsibility to measure these traffic areas to
make sure the product will fit prior to the products purchase. Returns do to
"not fitting" are not authorized.
- Moving of any existing Furniture.
Liability issues, prevent the moving of any existing furniture. It is
important that the consumer has prepared the area for the product to be
set-up in before the delivering agents arrive. For items requiring
electrical service or electricity, a working outlet must be present and
available within the reach of the cabling provided. If the delivering agent
has to reschedule due to the area not being prepared, additional charges may
be applied.
- Removal/Disposal of any existing
furniture or debris. Unless otherwise noted, the delivering agents
will not remove/dispose of any existing furniture or debris due to liability
issues. If the consumer needs this done, the delivering agent can be
contracted to do so at an additional fee during the delivery. This
must be noted at the time of the order only!
- In depth training on how to use the
product. Our products are easy to use and maintain. Each item comes
with either and owners manual or use instructions which go into more detail.
Learning how to assemble or disassemble any product is the responsibility of
the purchaser.
- Installing Headboards or Footboards,
on Luxury Adjustable Beds is not included in WGD services.
- White Glove Delivery DOES NOT
include installation services. Some of our products require
"installation". Installation services are available for a fee to any
consumer through our retail locations for items purchased in the store.
"Light Technical Support" is available to our internet consumers but is
limited to minor questions about the product and it's functionality.
Our fee based installation services cover ALL aspects of the installation.
- Equipment Weight. Some
equipment we sell is very heavy and comes shipped "palletized". White Glove
Delivery is not typically available for this equipment. Some equipment
(Wheelchair Lifts, etc.) can exceed 1,200 pounds in weight on it's custom
pallet. The consumer is responsible for securing and operating any
extraction equipment required for removing the item from the truck. For
example, a forklift, pallet jack, or long forked Extended Reach Forklift,
known as a "LUL". Our in-store installation services will include these
items. The product shipping weight is always disclosed prior to the consumer
completing the purchase.
White Glove Delivery Fees are based upon the product
ordered and the delivery Zip code. No White Glove Delivery fees are refundable.
The White Glove Delivery option can add from 5 to 12 business days to your
delivery since the agent is required to schedule a special truck or delivery
agent for the service. If the item shipped is cancelled, refused, or returned.
Return freight charges and restocking fees will apply.
